Congrats to the Dutch short film “KISS” by director Joost van Ginkel for winning the Rooftop Films & Film Movement short film distribution contest!! 

“KISS” was selected by Film Movement’s acquisitions team from over 25 short films that Rooftop screened during their 2010 Summer series.

Rebeca Conget, Film Movement’s VP of Acquisitions & Distribution, says, “The selection of shorts by Rooftop Films this past summer was incredible, and we had a very hard time choosing just one for our distribution award. Ultimately, we were incredibly moved by KISS, and were very impressed with both Joost van Ginkel’s delicate direction and the nuanced acting style of the film’s protagonists. We look forward to seeing more of van Ginkel’s work in the future.”
